Real Madrid boss Zidane has been backed to sign Liverpool duo Mane and Salah in recent times.
Salah has been sensationally linked with a move away from Anfield just days after his goal set the Reds on their way to winning the Champions League title.
The Egypt international is reportedly keen to leave the Merseyside giants behind after an argument with Jurgen Klopp earlier this season.Zidane is now back in charge of Los Blancos and eager to steer the side to silverware going forward.
Salah and Mane now appear to be on the radar of the Spanish club but Catalan newspaper Sport say Zidane only wants one player.
And that star is Mane.
Regarding Salah, the Liverpool star has found himself top of Real president Florentino Perez’s shopping list.
Perez is already close to landing one Galactico in the form of Eden Hazard from Chelsea. But the prospect of luring Salah to the Bernabeu appeals.
However, Sport say Zidane would rather sign Mane instead.
The Real Madrid boss feels a deal for Salah would upset a locker room who saw Sergio Ramos vilified for crocking the Egyptian last year.
The Spain international was labelled an ‘enemy of Islam’ after last year’s Champions League final.
And Zidane would prefer to go for Mane instead. However, speaking before the Champions League final win over Tottenham, he insisted he was happy at Liverpool.
“This is always part of football so we have to deal with it but for me the most important thing is Liverpool and I’m happy here,” he said.
“I’m preparing for one of the biggest games for the club and the fans and the players as well, so let’s focus on this one first and win it.
“It’s always a pleasure that this kind of team wants you but don’t forget Liverpool. We beat big teams.”
